It’s almost time to enroll the newest members of the LCP family! Pre-K and Kindergarten Roundup are NEXT WEEK! See below for details! Pre-K Roundup Monday, April 25 1:00-7:00 p.m. LCISD Administration Building 13807 Indiana Ave. (enter through southeast corner Door 5, not the front entrance) A child is eligible for enrollment in LCISD pre-k if he or she is at least four years old on or before September 1, 2022, lives in the Lubbock-Cooper district, and meets one or more of the eligibility requirements (see link below). If you believe your child may be eligible based on qualification for state benefits (SNAP/TANF), please bring your EDG (Eligibility Determination Group) number. Update on the Communications Interruption at Central Elementary: Telephone and internet service is still largely unavailable at Central Elementary due to a damaged fiber line. The LCISD IT Department has set up temporary internet access for the Central Elementary front office, which allows front office staff to receive emails. If you need to reach Central Elementary, please email info@lcisd.net, or call (806) 863-7100 and the district will ensure your message is relayed. If you need to report an absence, please email dgonzales@lcisd.net. Again, we thank you for your patience and cooperation. We will let you know when service has been restored.

πŸ“’πŸ“’πŸ“’ The City of Lubbock will conduct the first full activation test of its Outdoor Warning System at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, April 8. The test will last approximately three minutes. There are several sirens located in our district, and the sound coverage will include many Lubbock-Cooper campuses, households, and businesses. From here on out, the city plans to test the sirens on the second Friday of each month between 9:00-10:00 a.m. For more information about the Outdoor Warning System (including a map of sirens), visit https://ci.lubbock.tx.us/departments/emergency-management/about-us/outdoor-warning-system.
