Fifth-grade parent informational meetings have been rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8 at the Laura Bush Middle School and Lubbock-Cooper Middle School cafeterias. The same information will be provided at both meetings, and it doesn't matter which meeting you attend!
If you are unable to attend the parent meeting, the information will be provided to you at a later date.

It may have been a chilly week, but that didn't stop Central Elementary from celebrating the 100th Day of School!


Lubbock-Cooper ISD will start ON TIME today, Thursday, February 2, with buses running all routes as usual.

Although roadways in the district are currently clear, forecasts predict deteriorating weather conditions throughout the day. Out of an abundance of caution, Lubbock-Cooper ISD has canceled school today, Wednesday, February 1.
Stay safe and warm, LCP family!


Due to anticipated freezing precipitation and the possibility of hazardous road conditions, Lubbock-Cooper ISD plans to operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, February 1. Buses will run all routes, also on a two-hour delay.
Depending on conditions tomorrow morning and the updated forecast for precipitation during the school day, it is possible that school will be canceled. This decision will be communicated no later than 7:00 a.m.
LCP family, we urge you to please be very careful when traveling under winter weather conditions, whether driving to/from school or elsewhere.

Lubbock-Cooper ISD will operate on a two-hour delay today, Tuesday, January 31. Buses will run all routes, also on a two-hour delay. Parents and staff will receive telephone and text message notifications at 6:00 a.m.
We encourage drivers to utilize the delay to allow themselves plenty of travel time to campuses, and to please use extra caution.


Due to slick roads, the likelihood of continued freezing drizzle, and anticipated temperatures too low to thaw drizzle on roadways, Lubbock-Cooper ISD has canceled school today, Monday, January 30. Stay safe and warm, LCP family!

Looking to add some new dance moves to your repertoire? Mrs. Brown's Central Pirates have created motions to match rhythms. They correspond with silly phrases like "gummy fish," "jelly pig," "yum yum gum gum," and "squishy squashy chewy toffee!"

The newest Central Elementary Sentinels learned how to raise and lower the United States flag last week, an important part of their campus role. Thanks to two special veterans, Central's Mrs. Parry and her husband, for teaching this memorable lesson in flag etiquette!
